# MCC MNC lookup

> Search mobile country codes (MCC) and mobile network codes (MNC) by country, operator or code. Free table from the ITU list of mobile network codes.

Canonical: https://mobilevalidate.com/tools/mcc-mnc-lookup · Last updated: 2026-11-07

Search 2,278 mobile networks by MCC (mobile country code), MNC (mobile network code), operator or country. For example, MCC 234 with MNC 15 is Vodafone Limited. Data: the ITU list of mobile network codes, position on 2023-11-15. The search runs in your browser.

Use the tool: https://mobilevalidate.com/tools/mcc-mnc-lookup (interactive; needs a browser with JavaScript).

**Privacy:** Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type, paste or upload is sent to MobileValidate or anyone else, and nothing is stored. The page counts one anonymous "tool used" event per visit (no numbers, no text), and sends nothing at all when your browser asks not to be tracked.

## How it works

Type a full code (`310410` or `310 410`), part of a code (`234`), an operator name or a country, or pick a country from the list. The search runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent to us.

The table is the list of Mobile Network Codes that ITU publishes under Recommendation ITU-T E.212, as the annex to its Operational Bulletin ([List of Mobile Network Codes, annex to ITU Operational Bulletin No. 1280](https://www.itu.int/pub/T-SP-E.212B-2023), position on 2023-11-15, downloaded 2026-11-07). Operator names are as notified to ITU, so some show a former name. Countries and regions we don't serve are left out.

A code tells you which network a SIM belongs to, not which network a phone number is on today: numbers move between networks. To get the current network's MCC and MNC for a number, run an [HLR lookup](https://mobilevalidate.com/services/hlr-lookup).

## Get the current network's MCC and MNC for any number

A number's prefix shows the network it started on. Our HLR lookup asks the mobile network and returns the current network, its MCC-MNC, whether the number is ported and whether it is reachable. Unknown answers are free.

## Frequently asked questions

### What are MCC and MNC codes?

A mobile country code (MCC) is a three-digit code for a country, such as 234 for the United Kingdom or 310 to 316 for the United States. A mobile network code (MNC), two or three digits, identifies a network inside that country. Together, MCC + MNC (for example 234 15) identify one mobile network. They are defined in ITU-T Recommendation E.212. Our guide [MCC and MNC codes explained](https://mobilevalidate.com/blog/mcc-mnc-codes-explained) covers the details.

### How do I find the MCC and MNC of a phone number?

Not from the number itself. Numbers are ported between networks, so the prefix only tells you which network the number was first given to. The current network's MCC and MNC come from a live query of the mobile network (an HLR lookup). Our [HLR lookup](https://mobilevalidate.com/services/hlr-lookup) returns it for each number. See [how to get the MCC and MNC from a phone number](https://mobilevalidate.com/blog/how-to-get-mcc-mnc-from-a-phone-number).

### Why do some countries have several MCCs?

Countries with many networks get more than one code. The United States uses 310 to 316 and India 404 and 405, for example. The MNC is only unique within its MCC, so always read the two together.

### What is MCC 901?

901 is a shared, non-geographic code that ITU assigns to international networks, such as satellite operators, maritime and in-flight services and some global IoT networks. Networks under 901 are listed here as "International (shared code)".

### Is this list complete and current?

It shows the ITU list of mobile network codes in the position of 2023-11-15. National administrations notify ITU of their codes, but not every code is notified, and later changes are published as amendments. For a network that is missing, check the national regulator's list. Countries and regions we don't serve are not shown.

### Can I download the table?

The table on this page comes from ITU's public list, which you can download from ITU as a Word or PDF document. We don't offer it as a separate file.
